Securing Applications – Pivotal for the Digital Transformation

The Theme of this IDC event was around Digital Transformation and IDC speakers provided a very good opening note of how organizations from all verticals are embracing digitization as a matter of survival post the COVID-19 era. The core theme and topics around digitization was a good Segway to close of the day with the topic on security lead by Indusface in the Joint Round Table with IDC and 20+ business leaders/CIO from different organizations.

Indusface was formed with the vision of enabling the business to Go Digital fearlessly and on a mission to make it extremely easy for a business to secure their Applications. After all, any digitization initiative cannot be successful without security being an integral part of that initiative. Central to Digitization is an application and this application needs security, and this point was reinforced and validated by all the participants, each of them a top executive and business leader /CIO of large organizations.

Following were the key points we heard from different Business Leaders and CIO and here are my key takeaways

  1. Application Security is a must-have and is an integral part of all launches
  2. Cloud adoption is embraced even more faster than ever before
  3. More than cloud adoption, SAAS adoption for enabling services from vendor cloud is also a key point for agility
  4. Managed Security bundled with technology offering is being a key requirement as an organization does not have the time to build the expertise to manage it on an ongoing basis.

It was a very engaging session & 60 minutes was too short duration to cover this broad topic, and I’m hoping to take it forward and we can have a deeper engaging 1-1 conversation as a follow-up to this Round Table to address this pressing need and problem for organizations in the market.
