Digital Certificates
Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) digital certificates are electronic files that are used to identify people and resources over networks such as the Internet. Digital certificates also enable secure, confidential communication between two parties using encryption.
Certificates are issued by a Certification Authority (CA). Much like the role of a passport office, the CA validates the certificate holder's identity and "signs" the certificate so that it cannot be tampered with or altered.

Supported by the most complete validation process available, Entrust EV (Extended Validation) Multi-Domain SSL Certificates take advantage of the added visual cues in today's popular browsers, including the green address bar in Microsoft® Internet Explorer® (7 or newer), Mozilla Firefox (3 and newer), Opera and Google Chrome — a clear indictor to your customers that your website is secure.
- Advantage SSL Certificates: The proven standard for website security. Advantage SSL certificates secure ecommerce, communications and private information passed from browser to Web server and between servers. With more features than Entrust's Standard SSL certificates, Entrust Advantage SSL Certificates offer greater set-up and deployment flexibility.

Entrust Certificate Management Service
You have multiple Web servers that need SSL or have multiple, distributed SSL-enabled devices. Managing the purchase and administration of SSL certificates for these Web servers – sometimes in many different locations – can be time consuming and costly.
The Entrust Certificate Management Service features a self-service tool that helps streamline the procurement and administration of SSL certificates. Acting as a centrally managed, self-service system, the Certificate Management Service reduces administrative hassles and lessens the risk of inadvertent certificate expiration by allowing customers to synchronize and control the timing of SSL certificate expiration. The Certificate Management Service also enables administrators to "re-use" or "recycle" their SSL certificates to maximize usage and minimize costs.
